Taylor Kitsch en Colin Farrell in tweede seizoen True Detective?

Nadat de serie 12 Emmy nominaties heeft gescoord, beginnen de details over het tweede seizoen van de HBO-serie True Detective langzaam binnen te stromen. HBO is druk bezig met het zoeken van hoofdrolspelers voor de hitserie True Detective. Volgens The Wrap zouden zowel Colin Farrell als Taylor Kitsch in onderhandelingen zijn voor een hoofdrol. Insiders vertellen dat HBO graag een filmster wil voor de hoofdrol.

HBO ontkende dat nieuws: “there is no news to confirm on the casting.” Waar showrunner Nic Pizzolatto nog vertelde dat er vier hoofdrolspelers zijn, laat scenarist Nic Pizzolatto weten dat dit er slechts drie zullen zijn. Er zouden twee mannelijke hoofdpersonen zijn en één vrouwelijke:

”Creating new characters for Season 2 was the same experience as creating Rust and Marty. They didn’t exist until I created them, then in their creation I developed a personal attachment to them. I think it’s the same in anything you write. It’s your job to come up with compelling characters who speak to an individual authenticity. If I’m not interested in the characters I can’t go on. I have to be fascinated by them. It’s the same job as Season 1 to me.”

Hij vertelde dat het seizoen zich in Californië af zal spelen.
