Trailer voor Oliver Stone’s Vladimir Putin documentaire

Showtime heeft de nieuwe trailer vrijgegeven voor de aankomende documentaire van Oliver Stone, genaamd The Putin Interviews. De vierdelige serie over de Russische Vladimir Putin is te zien vanaf 12 juni. Bekijk hieronder de nieuwe trailer.

Stone werkte twee jaar aan de vierdelige reeks en reisde meermaals af naar Moskou en Sotsji voor gesprekken met Poetin. De Russische president heeft het volgens Variety met de filmmaker onder meer over de laatste Amerikaanse presidenten en over de nalatenschap van Stalin, Gorbatsjov en Reagan. Ook spreekt Poetin over het ingrijpen van Rusland in Syrië en Oekraïne en vraagt Stone hem waarom Rusland de Amerikaanse verkiezingen heeft beïnvloed. Stone zei:

“If Vladimir Putin is indeed the great enemy of the United States, then at least we should try to understand him.”
