Travis Knight regisseert Transformers Bumblebee spinoff

Er is een regisseur gevonden voor de aankomende Transformers Bumblebee spinoff. Volgens Deadline zal Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings) deze rol op zich nemen. De Bumblebee spinoff zal te zien zijn vanaf 8 juni 2018. Michael Bay, Steven Spielberg en Lorenzo di Bonaventura produceren de film, Christina Hudson schrijft het script. Tom Warner, leider van de Transformers franchise, zei over de spinoff:

“This summer we worked closely with a talented team of A-list screenwriters to map out the future of the Transformers cinematic universe, and as Brian announced earlier, things kick off in a major way in 2017 with the release of Transformers 5 in June. And we’re working on a spin-off movie centered around Bumblebee for 2018 and the next chapter for 2019.”

De volgende Transformers-film is The Last Knight, deze is vanaf 22 juni in de bioscoop te zien.
