TriStar werkt aan The Chronicles of Narnia reboot

The Chronicles of Narnia krijgt nieuwe leven op het grote doek! TriStar Pictures, een label van Sony Pictures, gaat namelijk samenwerken met The Mark Gordon Company, The C.S. Lewis Company en Entertainment One (eOne) aan het vervolg van het Narnia verhaal; The Silver Chair. David Magee (Life of Pi, Finding Neverland) zal het boek van C.S. Lewis adapteren voor film. De franchise zal een geheel nieuw creatief team krijgen, waardoor het project met een frisse blik gestart kan gaan worden.

Gordon zei:

So, to have the opportunity to bring new life to the Narnia films with a new creative team is a career highlight. We’re thrilled to be working with Mark, Doug, Melvin, Vincent, and David as we adapt The Silver Chair.”

The Chronicles of Narnia is een zevendelige kinderboekenserie geschreven door de Britse schrijver C.S. Lewis. De serie wordt beschouwd als een klassieker in de kinderliteratuur en is het bekendste werk van de schrijver, met meer dan honderd miljoen verkochte exemplaren in 47 talen. De boeken werden gepubliceerd tussen oktober 1950 en maart 1956. De serie bestaat uit The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, The Magician’s Nephew, The Horse and His Boy, Prince Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Silver Chair en The Last Battle.
