Avengers/Guardians of the Galaxy cross-over in Infinity War bevestigd
Het is officieel; Infinity War wordt een Avengers en Guardians of the Galaxy cross-over. Dit nieuws kwam naar buiten via Vin Diesel.
Diesel, ook wel bekend als Groot van Guardians of the Galaxy, maakte onlangs de belangrijke onthulling betreft het Marvel universum. Via Facebook Live sprak hij zijn fans toe in een video van een half uur. Naast het terugblikken op zijn carrière liet hij ook een stukje informatie los wat betreft de toekomst van Guardians of the Galaxy. Hij bevestigde dat de cast van die franchise te zien zal zijn in Avengers: Infinity War.
“The Guardians will be included in ‘Avengers: Infinity War, and that’s incredibly exciting.”
Het gerucht dat de twee superheldenteams bij elkaar zouden komen ontstond eerder al toen de regisseurs Joe en Anthony Russo hints gaven afgelopen mei. De Russo broers spraken ook recent met Cinema Blend om opheldering te geven over waarom alleen de eerste van hun Avengers films de Infinity War titel zal dragen. De titel van tweede film werd laatst door Marvel aangepast naar de benaming Untitled Avengers film.
“We wanted the movie to be very different and distinctive, you know? There’s certainly cross-pollination between characters and some story-arcs, but you know, the first movie is very clearly Avengers: Infinity War and, in time, we will reveal what the second film is… You’ll learn [it], but not for quite some time.” Aldus Joe Russo.
