Luister naar het James Bond-lied No Time To Die van Billie Eilish

Vandaag is themalied van de 25ste James Bond film vrijgegeven. Deze is getiteld “No Time To Die” en wordt opgevoerd door de Amerikaanse zangeres Billie Eilish. Ze schreef de song samen met haar broer Finneas O’Connell. Bekijk en luister hieronder naar het lied.

Billie Eilish met No Time To Die

Producenten Michael G. Wilson en Barbara Broccoli zeiden eerder:

“We are excited to announce that Billie and FINNEAS have written an incredibly powerful and moving song for No Time To Die, which has been impeccably crafted to work within the emotional story of the film.”

Eilish zei:

“It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way. To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honour. James Bond is the coolest film franchise ever to exist. I’m still in shock”.

FINNEAS voegde toe:

“Writing the theme song for a Bond film is something we’ve been dreaming about doing our entire lives. There is no more iconic pairing of music and cinema than the likes of Goldfinger and Live And Let Die. We feel so so lucky to play a small role in such a legendary franchise, long live 007.”

Cary Joji Fukunaga zei:

“There are a chosen few who record a Bond theme. I am a huge fan of Billie and FINNEAS. Their creative integrity and talent are second to none and I cannot wait for audiences to hear what they’ve brought – a fresh new perspective whose vocals will echo for generations to come.”

In de 25e James Bond-film No Time To Die heeft James Bond zijn turbulente leven als geheim agent achter zich gelaten en leidt hij een rustig bestaan op Jamaica. Dit wordt abrupt onderbroken wanneer zijn oude vriend en CIA agent Felix Leiter hem vraagt om een ontvoerde wetenschapper te helpen bevrijden. Deze missie blijkt verraderlijker dan gedacht en brengt Bond op het spoor van een mysterieuze schurk die gewapend is met levensgevaarlijke nieuwe technologie.

Terugkerende castleden zijn Daniel Craig als James Bond, Lea Seydoux als Madeleine Swann, Ralph Fiennes als M, Ben Whishaw als Q, Naomie Harris als Moneypenny, Rory Kinnear als Tanner, Jeffrey Wright als Felix Leiter en Christoph Waltz als Blofeld. Nieuwe castleden zijn Rami Malek, David Dencik, Ana De Armas, Billy Magnussen, Dali Benssalah en Lashana Lynch.

No Time To Die wordt geregisseerd door Cary Joji Fukunaga. Het scenario voor de 25ste film in de franchise is geschreven door Bond-veteranen Neal Purvis en Robert Wade & Scott Z. Burns, Cary Joji Fukunaga en Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

No Time To Die draait vanaf 2 april 2020 in de Nederlandse bioscoop.
