Nieuwe Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 IMAX-poster

Marvel Studios heeft een nieuwe IMAX-poster vrijgegeven van Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Deze kun je hieronder bekijken. Ter gelegenheid hiervan liet regisseur James Gunn op Facebook het volgende weten over het gebruik van 3D en IMAX:

“Those who have followed me awhile know that IMAX is the optimal way to view a Guardians movie. I personally oversee the 3D, crafting every shot, and only in IMAX do we shift aspect ratios during big scenes so that you get nearly 30% more screen size than anywhere else. Unlike many other films today where screen size shifts and 3D are afterthoughts, we plan our aspect ratios during the script stage, and every single shot is tailored for 3D as we shoot it. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 is designed to be a fully immersive experience to be seen IN theaters. I’m glad that we’ve been able to partner up with IMAX from the moment of its conception.”

Daarnaast zijn er via Empire Magazine drie nieuwe foto’s vrijgegeven.

In Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 gaat het team opnieuw op pad en doorkruisen zij de verste uithoeken van het heelal. Uiteraard doen ze dit geheel in eigen stijl, op de knallende en onmisbare muziek van Awesome Mixtape Vol. 2. Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket en Baby Groot proberen het mysterie te ontrafelen rondom Peter Quill’s vader. Oude vijanden worden nieuwe vrienden en ondertussen moet het team er voor vechten om één te blijven.

De sequel is het vervolg op de in 2014 verschenen film Guardians of the Galaxy en de vijftiende film in de Marvel Cinematic Universe. De film is geschreven en geregisseerd door James Gunn.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 heeft hoofdrollen voor Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan en Kurt Russell.

De film verschijnt op 27 april 2017 in de bioscoop.
