Trailer Molly’s Game met Jessica Chastain

STXfilms heeft de eerste trailer vrijgegeven voor Molly’s Game, het aankomende regiedebuut van scenarist Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network, The West Wing). In de hoofdrollen zien we Jessica Chastain, Idris Elba, Kevin Costner en Michael Cera. De film zal tijdens het Toronto International Film Festival in première gaan.

De film is gebaseerd op het boek ‘Molly’s Game: From Hollywood’s Elite to Wall Street’s Billionaire Boys Club, My High-Stakes Adventure in the World of Underground Poker’ van Molly Bloom. Sorkin zei eerder over de film:

“The casting of Jessica and Idris in the two lead roles is any filmmaker’s dream come true. They’re two of the greatest actors of their generation, paired for the first time, and their chemistry will be electric.”

Molly’s Game vertelt het waargebeurde verhaal over Molly Bloom, een ervaren Olympische skiester die ‘s werelds meest exclusieve pokerspel runde en daarmee een doelwit werd van de FBI. Ze organiseerde pokerspelen voor filmsterren, business-titanen en – buiten haar medeweten – de Russische maffia.
