Al maanden wordt er gekeken naar Marvel Studios‘ Avengers: Endgame. Gisteren is de film officieel in première gegaan en de eerste reacties zijn al online verschenen. Hieronder een overzicht.

Imagine the best possible version of #AvengersEndgame and somehow the film still surpasses all expectations. I cried 5-6 times. It’s the most emotional, most epic, MCU film. A tribute to ten years of this universe and holy shit the great fan service in this movie. Soooo good.

Na de gebeurtenissen in Avengers: Infinity War, is het superheldenteam op leven na dood. Niet alle Avengers hebben de aanval van superschurk Thanos in Wakanda overleefd en het ziet er naar uit dat de Avengers voor het eerst een gevecht hebben verloren. Al het leven in het universum is gehalveerd door toedoen van Thanos. De overige Avengers die de aanval van Thanos hebben overleefd, waaronder onder andere Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk en Black Widow, slaan de handen in elkaar en gaan samen het gevecht om leven en dood aan.

De cast van Avengers: Endgame bestaat uit Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright,  Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Tom Hiddleston, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Jon Favreau, Brie Larson, Katherine Langford, Karen Gillan, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Josh Brolin, Chris Pratt.

De film is geregisseerd door Anthony en Joe Russo op basis van een scenario door Christopher Markus en Stephen McFeely.

Avengers: Endgame draait vanaf 24 april 2019 in de Nederlandse bioscoop.
