Emmy Awards 2020 | Nominaties

De Television Academy heeft vandaag de 72ste Emmy Awards nominaties bekendgemaakt, vanuit de Television Academy’s Saban Media Center. De virtuele aankondiging van dit jaar werd georganiseerd door Leslie Jones en gepresenteerd door Laverne Cox, Josh Gad en Tatiana Maslany.

De uitreiking van de Emmy Awards 2020 vindt plaats op 20 september en wordt uitgezonden op ABC, gepresenteerd door Jimmy Kimmel.

Watchmen ontving een leidende 26 nominaties voor de prime-time Emmy Awards. Netflix verbrak het record voor de meeste nominaties van elk netwerk, elke studio of streamingdienst met 160, waarmee het record van HBO vorig jaar werd verbroken. HBO werd tweede met 107 nominaties.
