Geen Married With Children revival

Wie kent ze niet de onaangepaste familie Bundy; schoenenverkoper Al Bundy (gespeeld door Ed O’Neill) zijn vrouw Peggy (Katey Sagal), dochter Kelly (Christina Applegate), zoon Bud (David Faustino) en hun hond Buck. Faustino is al enige tijd bezig met de terugkeer van Married …… With Children. Er wordt al sinds 2014 gewerkt aan een spin-off. Volgens O’Neill gaat deze er echter niet komen:

“I don’t think so, I think we’re finished. There was a rumor … David Faustino pitched an idea to Sony about Bud moving back in the old house and being divorced and his ex-wife moves in, too, with his best friend and they’re struggling and Al and Peg are in Vegas — they won the lottery. And that was the idea, but I think they hit some legal problems. People who have to sign off on it wouldn’t, so I don’t think that’s going to happen. And Katey and I would only have been able to do one or two a year because we’re contracted — well, she was, now I certainly am. But it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. But you never know.”

Married… with Children draait om het leven van schoenenverkoper Al Bundy, zijn vrouw Peggy, dochter Kelly en zoon Bud. Ook de gezinshond Buck speelt een rol, alsmede buurvrouw Marcy, die eerst gehuwd is met Steve Rhoades en vervolgens met Jefferson D’Arcy.

Married… with Children is een Amerikaanse sitcom, die van 1987 tot 1997 werd uitgezonden. De serie bestaat uit 11 seizoenen, met een totaal van 262 afleveringen.

De hoofdrollen werden gespeeld door Ed O’Neill, Katey Sagal, Christina Applegate, David Faustino, David Garrison, Amanda Bearse, Ted McGinley.
