Poster & releasedatum voor Black Adam film met Dwayne Johnson

Dwayne Johnson heeft op Instagram de eerste concept art-poster gedeeld voor de langverwachte DC-film Black Adam, waarmee we onze eerste blik krijgen op Jonnson als de titulaire anti-held. In zijn post heeft hij ook de officiële releasedatum aangekondigd voor de film van Warner Bros. Pictures, namelijk op 22 december 2021. De poster is gemaakt door digitale kunstenaar Boss Logic en DC Comics-kunstenaar Jim Lee. Bekijk deze hieronder.

Johnson schreef:

“Like most kids growing up, I dreamed about being a superhero. Having cool superpowers, fighting for what’s right and always protecting the people. It all changed for me, when I was 10yrs old and was first introduced to the greatest superhero of all time – SUPERMAN. As a kid, Superman was the hero I always wanted to be. But, a few years into my fantasy, I realized that Superman was the hero, I could never be.I was too rebellious. Too rambunctious. BLACK ADAM is blessed by magic with the powers equal to SUPERMAN, but the difference is he doesn’t toe the mark or walk the line. Dwayne Johnson werkt al 10 jaar aan Black Adam. Het personage zou oorspronkelijk in Shazam! verschijnen, maar er werd besloten dat zijn langverwachte debuut voor een latere film te bewaren.

De film is gebaseerd op het DC Comics-personage gemaakt door Otto Binder en C.C. Beck en wordt geregisseerd door Jaume Collet-Serra (The Shallows). De film wordt de tweede samenwerking tussen Collet-Serra en Johnson, die ook hebben samengewerkt aan Disney’s komende avonturenfilm Jungle Cruise. De film wordt geproduceerd door Johnson en FlynnPicturesCo’s Beau Flyn samen met Dany Garcia en Hiram Garcia van Seven Bucks Productions. Scott Sheldon zal toezicht houden op het project voor FlynnPictureCo.
