Streamingdienst SkyShowtime op 25 oktober naar Nederland

De nieuwe streamingdienst SkyShowtime, een joint venture van Comcast en Paramount, gaat op 25 oktober van start in Nederland. Eerder werd de dienst al gelaanceerd in de Scandinavische landen Denemarken, Finland, Zweden en Noorwegen. Meer dan een jaar sinds SkyShowtime voor het eerst werd aangekondigd, is de streamer klaar om deel te nemen aan de streamingstrijd in Europa. SkyShowtime gaat in Nederland 6,99 euro per maand kosten.

De nieuwe dienst bevat bij lancering 10.000 uur aan content van Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, DreamWorks Animation, Paramount+, Showtime, Sky Studios en Peacock.

SkyShowtime biedt bij de lancering toegang tot onder meer Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Halo, Yellowstone, Let The Right One In en Law & Order seizoen 21. Ook zijn films als The Lost City en Sonic the Hedgehog 2 beschikbaar. Binnenkort verschijnen ook meerdere recente bioscoopfilms op de dienst, zoals Top Gun: Maverick, Jurassic World Dominion en The Bad Guys.

SkyShowtime Nederland 

SkyShowtime Nederland is een samenwerking tussen Comcast Corporation en Paramount. De ​​nieuwe streamingdienst wordt gelanceerd in Nederland en meer dan 20 Europese landen. Via de nieuwe streamingdienst zal content te zien zijn van partijen als Sky, NBCUniversal, Universal Pictures, Peacock, Paramount+, Showtime, Paramount Pictures en Nickelodeon. Bij de start van de dienst zal er ruim tienduizend uur aan content beschikbaar zijn.

SkyShowtime is een gezamenlijke streamingdienst van ViacomCBS en Comcast, twee van de grootste mediabedrijven in de Verenigde Staten. Een aantal verwachte films en series van de streamingdienst zijn onder andere, Halo, The Lost City, Top Gun: Maverick, Jurassic World Dominion, Boss Baby: Family Business, Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber, Gangs of London, Nope, Despicable Me, The Wolf of Wall Street, Jaws, Indiana Jones, The Godfather, The Offer, 1883, Sing 2, Dora and the Lost City of Gold, Billions en Star Trek.
