Wanneer verschijnt Station 19 seizoen 6?
ABC heeft Station 19 seizoen 6 aangekondigd. Krista Vernoff blijft optreden als showrunner van de spin-off van Grey’s Anatomy (net als voor seizoen 19 van Grey’s). Vernoff zei:
“It’s a privilege to tell stories of our heroic first responders, who on our show and in real life put their lives on the line every day to keep us all safe. I’m so grateful to Disney and ABC for the early pickup for season six of Station 19! It’s a tribute to the incredible work of our talented cast, crew, writers and creative team, as well as the dedication of our loyal fans who tune in every week.”
Craig Erwich, president, Hulu Originals en ABC Entertainment voegde toe:
“The riveting storytelling and passionate fan base that Station 19 continues to cultivate is a testament to the unrelenting dedication of Krista Vernoff and the incredibly talented cast and crew. Coupled with yesterday’s renewal of Grey’s Anatomy, the return of Station 19 ensures more crossover opportunities and a thrilling night of appointment television.”

De serie volgt de relaties en gevaren van de hardwerkende bemanning van het brandweerkazerne Station 19, die opereren als brandweermannen en getrainde EMT’s. In de hoofdrol zien we Jaina Lee Ortiz als Andy Herrera, een zelfverzekerde, badass brandweerman die ook de dochter is van Captain Pruitt, die wordt gespeeld door Miguel Sandoval. Pruitt werkt als de mentor van zowel Andy als Jack Gibson (Gray Damon), luitenant van Station 19. Andy en Jack kunnen complete tegenpolen zijn.
Station 19 heeft rollen voor Jaina Lee Ortiz als Andy Herrera, Jason George als Ben Warren, Boris Kodjoe als Robert Sullivan, Gray Damon als Jack Gibson, Barrett Doss als Victoria Hughes, Jay Hayden als Travis Montgomery, Danielle Savre als Maya Bishop, Stefania Spampinato als Carina DeLuca en Carlos Miranda als Theo Ruiz.
Station 19 is gemaakt en geschreven door Grey‘s uitvoerend producent/showrunner Stacy McKee. Grey‘s bedenker Shonda Rhimes en de frequente productie-medewerker Betsy Beers gaan produceren.
