Westworld bedenkers werken aan Fallout serie

Amazon Studios en Kilter Films werken aan een tv-serie rondom de game Fallout. De serie wordt in samenwerking met Bethesda Game Studios gemaakt. Kilter Films is onder meer bekend van de serie Westworld. Dit is het eerste grote project dat uit de grote deal van Westworld-makers / uitvoerende producenten Jonathan Nolan en Lisa Joy met Amazon Studios komt. Prime Video en Bethesda hebben zojuist een korte ‘easter egg’-video gepost. Je kunt deze hieronder bekijken.

Fallout is een serie van post-apocalyptische rpg-spellen die zich afspelen in een toekomst die lijkt op het toekomstbeeld van de jaren ’50 van de vorige eeuw. Door een nucleaire oorlog is de Verenigde Staten compleet verwoest en moeten mensen zien te overleven in een wereld met radioactieve straling en gemuteerde, vijandige wezens. Het spel staat bekend om de afwisseling tussen donkere humor en serieuze tonen. Het nieuwste spel in de reeks is mmorpg Fallout 76. Joy en Nolan zeiden:

De Fallout-franchise heeft recordverkopen geboekt en heeft tientallen Game of the Year Awards ontvangen. Het mobiele spel Fallout Shelter is meer dan 170 miljoen keer gedownload.
